It is time that Western Australia harnessed the full potential of the Swan River. That is why the Cook Labor Government is planning for an expanded ferry service to key areas around our city. 

In exciting news for the Bateman electorate, the 'Metronet on the Swan' will include stops in Applecross and Canning Bridge. 

This expanded ferry service will connect us not only to the city but to UWA and other western suburbs infrastructure such as hospitals and schools. 

The Cook Labor Government has released an EOI to the market to design the next fleet of ferries that would service new stops on the Swan and provide information on local manufacturing capabilities. 

There are enormous upsides in ferry expansion, particularly when it comes to supporting the growth of the local shipbuilding industry.
