BIG NEWS - A re-elected Cook Labor Government will bust congestion on Kwinana Freeway. 

We’ll widen the Freeway in both directions between Russell Road and Mortimer Road, making everyone’s journey smoother and easier.

And we’ll slash public transport fares with one zone for everyone in Bateman. 

The Cook Labor Government invests in our roads because WA families deserve less time in traffic and more time to do what they enjoy.

Our $350 million investment to widen Kwinana Freeway will add around 50 per cent capacity to the upgraded sections - easing travel times, improving road safety and boosting freight efficiency in our southern suburbs.

It builds on the $230 million we’ve invested into the Kwinana Freeway since 2017, including widening and the new Smart Freeway systems.
